Ajwa — the "Holy Date" — sourced directly from the blessed groves of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Deep brown-black, soft-fleshed, and mildly sweet, Ajwa holds a unique place in Islamic tradition and is prized across the world for its quality and significance.

Allergen note: May contain nuts. Packed in a facility that also handles tree nuts.

Why Ajwa from Madina?

Not all Ajwa is grown in Madinah — much of what's sold internationally is grown elsewhere and only packaged under the name. Ours is sourced directly from Madinah's date groves, so you get the authentic origin, not just the label.

In tradition

Ajwa is mentioned by name in a well-known hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari (5445), and many Muslim families keep the tradition of eating seven Ajwa dates in the morning. Dates are also the Sunnah way to break the fast, which is why Ajwa is a favourite on the Iftar table during Ramadan.

Traditional uses are shared for cultural and historical interest. Ajwa dates are a food and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
