How we verify our Zamzam
Counterfeit Zamzam is a real problem. Bottles get refilled, resealed and resold, and most buyers have no way to tell. Here is exactly how ours reaches you, so you can judge for yourself.
It arrives sealed and leaves sealed. Every 5L bottle comes to us in its original factory seal. We do not decant, refill or repackage. If a seal is broken or tampered with when it reaches our warehouse, that bottle does not get sold.
We import directly from Saudi Arabia. Our Zamzam is not bought through a reseller or a marketplace middleman. It comes straight from the source, and we can trace any bottle we sell back to the shipment it arrived in.
What to check when yours arrives. The cap seal should be intact and unbroken. The label should be printed on the bottle, not stuck on. If anything looks wrong, photograph it and email us before you open it.
We sell nothing we would not drink ourselves. This is a family business. Zamzam is not an ordinary product to us, and we would rather lose a sale than put our name on water we could not vouch for.

What you describe is worth explaining, because it can happen to anyone and it isn't the water.
Sealed, Zamzam keeps indefinitely. Once a bottle is opened, though, water starts taking on the smell of wherever it's stored. Food-grade plastic is slightly permeable, so an open bottle sitting in a warm kitchen gradually picks up whatever is in the air around it — cooking, spices, cleaning products. It's the container and the room, not the contents.
What we'd suggest: keep it sealed until you need it, and once it's open, store it somewhere cool and away from strong smells, or decant into a glass bottle. That keeps it tasting the way it did on day one.
