Afghan Dried Apricots — Unsulphured, With or Without Seed

Natural, unsulphured dried apricots from Afghanistan — available jumbo without seed, or whole with the seed in. Unlike the bright orange sulphur-treated apricots in most supermarkets, ours dry to a natural dark amber with a more intense, tart-sweet apricot flavour.

Allergen note: May contain nuts. Packed in a facility that also handles tree nuts.

Why are they brown, not orange?

Bright orange dried apricots are treated with sulphur dioxide to keep their colour. Ours are not, so they darken naturally as they dry. The colour is a sign that nothing was added.

With seed or without?

• Without Seed | Jumbo — larger fruit, pitted, ready to eat or chop.
• With Seed — whole apricots dried traditionally with the stone in, at a lower price.

How to use them

Storage

Keep sealed in a cool, dry, dark place. After opening, store airtight; refrigerate in warm weather to keep it fresh longer.
